lady gaga compared to India Arie
Music has a tremendous impact in the world today. The most populated is the music that doesn't necessarily have any meaning. for example artist such as lady gaga, Drake,Lil Wayne,Tyga Beyonce, Rhianna. To me music isn't music unless it has meaning.
India Arie, is a young black artist. who's music impact peoples lives. she makes songs, that actually help women overcome their obstacles. Her music is just so powerful. my favorite song by her I would say is Because I am a Queen In this song she express her self thoroughly, she speaks that she is her own person, and doesn't care what people think. she is Free to do what ever.

I agree, music should always be meaningful. I think one could argue that Lady Gaga's music and overall persona have meaning and send a message. I also think her message maybe goes over people's heads because her art is highly conceptual. Its exciting to find artists that you can relate to, and it seems like you have found that with India Arie.
