If i could choose a lesson worth knowing I would say, learning/relearning the parts of speeches. I think over the years I forgot some parts of speech, but not completly. Relearning the material was great, somethings I didnt know and others I remembered like, different types of verbs linking, helping, compound, and action. I never really understood the differences between each. But now i know them prefectly.
Cute clip, Evelyn. Your post reminds me how, when it comes to speaking and writing, we have already inhaled many of the rules and norms. We use linking, action, and helping verbs all the time. But is sounds like you are (re)learning concepts you already know. The better I can name concepts I use, the more able I am to improve on my skills. When I can name and identify different parts of speech (verbs, for example) and the different kinds of phrases and clause, I am in a better position to manipulate and use them more accurately and effectively. You are learning - in a new, deeper what - what you already know!
